Getting Into Photography
Around age 19, my brother and I operated a small studio for about 2 years in our hometown. From the 1970s onwards my pictures were mostly about recording family activities. In 2007, I acquired a more serious Nikon digital camera along with Photoshop and Lightroom. In addition to taking pictures I enjoy workshops, conferences, and socializing with local photo club members. I am a member of Photographic Society of America (PSA) and now live in the Ottawa (Canada) area.
I tend towards a minimalist approach to achieve a “clean” looking image and make it easy to decode. I would hope that this transpires in my travel, fine art, street, urban exploration, and local project images. I find inspiration in reading photography books related to the life and work of famous Canadian and American photographers. I like to share and promote my interest in photography and I am a member of three photo clubs.
